 民间历来有传统的防潮做法，一种是放置辣椒干，可吸收一定水分，不过一定要常更换新的辣椒干；另一种是放置质量可靠的炮仗，因为炮仗内有硫黄，不仅可以除湿还能除虫。不过“土方”虽然效果好，但是譬如炮仗存在安全问题，网友使用需小心。此外，还可以在房间里烧上一盆火炉来提高室内的温度，使水汽无法凝结，从而减轻室内湿度。

 点蜡烛能使水汽无法凝结，从而减低室内湿度。如果家里已经出现霉味，可以选用含天然植物香熏精油的蜡烛，这样的蜡烛既可以干燥空气，又可以去除房间里的霉味。

 目前市场上的除湿产品主要有空调、抽湿机、暖风机，一般家庭使用的空调都有除湿的功能。购买除湿机家用除湿机能有效降低室内湿度，但除湿机属于价格较贵的家电，如果不愿购买除湿机，可使用空调抽湿功能，也可以起到除湿的效果，但空调的除湿效果不如除湿机显著。
 
 
 配置除湿剂或者除湿盒超市有售，购买非常方便，放置在家里各个角落和湿气重的地方，可以有效吸附水汽。
